Neptune in Aries: 2025-2039!
What it Means for the Collective and for You!
Neptune only changes signs every 13-15 years, so when it changes signs, it’s a huge deal! Neptune begins its shift from watery, dreamy Pisces into fiery, action-packed Aries on March 30, 2025 until March 23, 2039.
Neptune will briefly retrograde back into Pisces on October 22, 2025, before re-entering Aries on January 26, 2026, until 2039.1
Huge shifts are happening astrologically—which affects us here on earth. The two planets furthest from the Sun, Pluto and Neptune, change signs within a few months of each other. Because they both stay in each sign for well over 10 years (Pluto ranges from 12-16 years, and Neptune every 13-15 years), when either of these planets change signs, it’s a huge deal.
So with both of them changing signs so close together (Pluto finalized its shift in November 2024), it’s no wonder we’re experiencing such a massive upheaval in the world—both for the collective and for each of us personally.

Neptune and Pisces
Neptune is named after the Roman god of the sea. Neptune embodies the watery realms of spirituality, intuition, dreams, and the subconscious. It rules our connection to the divine, artistic and creative inspiration, and the disintegration of boundaries between the material and the unmanifested. Neptune can also blur realities, leading to illusions, deception, and escapism.
Neptune rules Pisces, and their vibes are very similar: watery, dreamy, intuitive, escapist….
Neptune in Pisces, 1847-1861
The last period of Neptune in Pisces, 1847-1861, was one of transcendence and artistic evolvement. This was the time photography developed. Think about the time pre-photography and post. When photography was invented and you could see a photograph of someone - what a blurred line between reality and illusion!
Spirituality was on the rise, like the transcendental movement focused on individuals’ intuition and the inherent goodness of people and nature, gained momentum during this time. On the other hand, here in the United States, tensions were also building toward the Civil War.

Neptune in Pisces, 2011-2025
Neptune’s been in Pisces since 2011/2012. There were countless opportunities for empathy and compassion, tapping into your artistic side, and transcending the mundane. It’s been a time of dreaming, of hoping, holding the utopian vision of who we could be, as individuals, as nations, as a planet.
Since 2011/2012, we’ve definitely been experiencing a collective spiritual awakening. But we’ve also been experiencing over a decade of what is real?, what is the truth?, and certainly endless blurred lines of reality and boundaries, whether those boundaries were in relationships, political, or physical.
We’ve experienced so many challenges distinguishing reality from illusion, which has been both a blessing and a disaster in so many ways. This blurring of reality and illusion has led to both visionary insights and widespread deception.
Hopefully, you’ve aligned with the positive end of this period,
because that period is over.We’re about to have a huge wake up call as Neptune shifts into
the fiery, action-taking warrior sign of Aries.
Neptune and Aries
Neptune / Pisces, the watery, dreamy planet and sign, and fiery, warrior sign, Aries are about as opposite as you can get in astrology.
The astrological year ends in watery, artistic, daydreamy Pisces, then starts anew with Aries. So while they’re technically side-by-side in the zodiac, they could not be more different.
In the Northern hemisphere, Pisces takes us through the coldest, darkest, sleepiest days of winter. And Aries wakes us up from our deep hibernation from he cold. Aries season starts on the first day of spring, the Spring Equinox.
Aries is The Spark. It’s the wake-up call to the world. It’s the “LFG” sign of the zodiac.

Neptune in Aries: Igniting the Spiritual Warrior
On March 30, 2025, within 36 hours of the solar eclipse in Aries on March 29, Neptune officially shifted from Pisces in Aries.
It. Is. On.
Neptune was all comfy and cozy in its homegirl sign of Pisces. But now it’s shifting into the sign that wants her to get up and move.
Enough dreaming! Aries says.
It’s time for action.
For the best idea of what Neptune in Aries might bring from 2025-2039, it’s best to review the last Neptune in Aries period.
Neptune in Aries, 1861-1875
The last time Neptune was in Aries, the American Civil War took place. (Shivers…) Obviously, this was a time of intense conflict and violence. But it wasn’t about borders. It was about ideology. Right vs wrong. Identity.
The last time Neptune was in Aries, Americans in the North and the South were so extremely divided, we ended up battling for years. It was a war over who we were going to be as a Nation. It was about the soul of a country. Who we were then and who were going to become.
I sincerely hope we rise above our division and it doesn’t come to a literal Civil War this time. And I also hope we make it through this period lighter and brighter than ever before. Becoming, once more, these United States.
It wasn’t just America fighting for its identity. During this period, Native American tribes battled themselves (Comanche and Apache Wars), there was the Paraguayan War, and the 10 Years’ War, also known as the Great War as Cuba fought for independence from Spain.
There were riots and uprisings, coups and coup attempts.
Abolitionist movements were waving throughout the world, to free human beings from the unimaginable shackles of slavery.
In the U.S., the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments were enacted and the Civil Rights Act of 1866 was passed.
The 13th Amendment (1865): Abolished slavery in 1865 and the Civil Rights Act of 1866 was passed. Perhaps this is our time to eliminate modern slavery, including sex trafficking and slavery.
The 14th Amendment (1868) (and The Civil Rights Act of 1866): Defined citizenship, guaranteeing equal protection under the law.
The 15th Amendment (1870): Prohibited the denial of the right to vote, based on race, color, or previous condition of servitude. It officially granted African American men the right to vote.
Our last Neptune in Aries period also initiated labor movements as the industrial revolution was well under way. This was the age of labor unions.
Neptune in Aries, 2025-2039
By looking backward, we can get a great understanding of what may lie ahead of us collectively during this next era of Neptune in Aries. But what does Neptune in Aries mean for us as individuals?
Generally speaking, we’ll find lots of opportunities to be brave and show courage. We may find our warrior spirit coming out. Some of us will become spiritual trailblazers, leading the way for others.
You may find you are bolder in your creative and artistic expression and pursuits. And you may feel the need to really assert who you are as an individual. We may each find this to be a bold period where we all bravely redefine ourselves.
